Connecting Passion with Purpose
Hi, I'm Sonia, but you can call me Yalmie.
I'm a creator, advocate, higher education professional, and storyteller passionate about living authentically and leading with purpose. After a personal health scare changed my perspective on life, I became committed to sharing my story, encouraging others to trust their instincts, and creating content that inspires confidence, connection, and growth.
Whether you're here for creativity, advocacy, or a little inspiration, I'm glad you're here.
What You’ll Find Here
My passions may span different spaces, but they're all connected by creativity, purpose, and authenticity.
Content Creation
I partner with brands to create relatable, engaging content that builds trust and drives results. From lifestyle and tech to beauty, travel, and wellness, I love bringing products and stories to life.
Trust Your Gut
After my own experience with precancerous stomach changes, I became passionate about raising awareness for stomach cancer and encouraging others to advocate for their health. Early detection saves lives.
Creativity & Pageantry
Whether I'm competing on stage, sewing a custom design, dancing, or sharing my journey, creativity has always been one of the ways I connect with others and express who I am.
More Than A Creator
As a first-generation Latina from California, I've always believed in the power of perseverance, community, and creating opportunities where they don't always exist.
My journey has taken me from dance studios and pageant stages to higher education leadership and health advocacy. Along the way, I've learned that confidence isn't about perfection. It's about showing up authentically, trusting yourself, and continuing to grow through every chapter.
Yalmie was created as a space where all of those passions could come together. A place to share stories, celebrate creativity, and encourage others to embrace their own journey.
“Trust your gut. Your story matters.”
Let’s Connect
Whether you're interested in collaborating, learning more about my advocacy work, or simply following along on the journey, I'd love to connect.
